The Speech Authority, a therapy division of The Success Authority, LLC is proud to offer speech therapy, including language therapy for children, adolescents, and adults with communication impairments! We also offer communication skills coaching and public speaking camps for children of all ages!!!! Our next camp will be in the spring 2013 and more in the summer 2013!!!
Fun Fact 1: Did you know that most kids who have trouble in math actually have trouble with reading comprehension? Why? Math has become such a reading-based skill, most math skills come with the assumption that a child can read, remember steps, and draw logical conclusions! The state of Texas has now implemented rigorous STAAR testing for all public schools. Most math problems are small stories within themselves.
Fun Fact 2: If a child cannot make the /sh/ sound by imitating you, ask him/her to (vertically) place a finger over the mouth and make the "be quiet sound!!!!"
Fun Fact 3: The /r/ sound is the most difficult one to master, and often the last to develop!
