Mini SLP Coaching Exercise

Directions: Reflect upon your career and answer the following questions! If a student, then use school as your career. Contact us for an analysis of how we are able to transform your goals and areas of need into an outstanding career success!

1. Considering your SLP/licensed assistant career, describe 3 factors about your daily work that are so rewarding, you would do the work for free.

2. What are your career goals for this year and how much progress have you reached towards them? If a student, then use school as career.

3. What area(s) of your current work setting would you not be able to train others on/your needs?

4. Who are 3 people who you could trust to share thoughts/ideas with regarding evaluations, treatments, and ethical dilemmas?

5. Describe a difficult case from your caseload and how you plan to make it easier?

6. What keeps you awake at night about your job/work?

7. Have you ever tried to describe someone from your caseload to a friend/family member, but they did not understand what you were talking about each time you said the name of the disorder?

8. Do you feel that your incredible work is contributing value to your company?

9. How do you effectively manage difficulties/conflicts with supervisors/directors/administrators/family members (of clients)?

10. What are your work negotiables (values that you will consider adjusting for others--i.e. assistants, CFs, supervisors, etc.)?

11. What are your work non-negotiables? How do these non-negotiables impact working with others?

12. How do you plan to foster career harmony, authenticity, and satisfaction?

Referral bonus details

Refer a friend and you get $25 upon the completion of the second coaching session as my way of saying thanks. If you refer a friend, you yourself do not have to sign-up for coaching services to get the bonus. I do need your contact information to provide you with the bonus. Please have your friend to mention you upon intake. You earn $25 for each person/company/school you refer to The Success Authority, LLC. This company offers coaching to individuals, groups, and organizations outside of SLP, so the referral bonus is available as well from those referrals.
